End of Game, indicate the result with the Kings

You can indicate the result of a game with the Kings. This is extremely important when you play a tournament on a DGT e-board.

Before analyzing the game you should indicate how the game ended. The software will recognize the position of the Kings, and will know this way what the result is. Just wait 5 seconds after positioning the Kings before analyzing the game.

For this you should place the Kings on two of the center squares (d4, d5, e4,e5). The following moves will not be included in the notation.

To put the Kings in this position be sure that the move of the first King should be an illegal move. If in the first situation white has to move and his King was on e4 and he moves it to d5, this move is legal and will be included in the game's notation.  In that case the black King should be moved first.

To be sure you can lift both Kings before placing them back in the center fields.

black wins white wins
Both Kings on a dark square (d4, e5): 0 - 1 ,
Black wins the game
Both Kings on a white square (d5, e4) 1 - 0,
White wins the game
remise

One King on a light square, the other on
a dark square:1/2 - 1/2, Draw.
