In the download section for developers two new files are available. The first file is the updated dgtbrd.h header file containing the description of the DGT EBoard Protocol (single and multiboard) with all extensions up to the end of 2009, except the clock control commands.
The second file is the Open Source version of a new low level driver for implementing the DGT EBoard Protocol. This zipfile contains the code for the driver dll and a small demo application. This driver is currently version 0.1.1 and in alpha state as not everything is fully implemented and it only does single board communication.
The objective for this driver is to create a new protocol level driver without move reconstruction. This will make it possible for developers to impement other games than chess on the DGT EBoards. It can also be used on the 10x10 draughts board.
