There may be an electromagnetic field near the board that influences the read-out. Such a field may be caused by a CRT-monitor, a loudspeaker, or a strong transmitter nearby. Keep you board more than a meter away from your CRT monitor or speaker boxes.
There are one or two pieces too many on screen or some pieces don't show on screen.
If this concerns adjacent pawn, try to interchange two pawns. They may influence each other.
