A new firmware file is available. This version (1.06) solves some power issues.

The LED behaviour is more intuitive. When the battery is being charged and the board is switched off, the LED will show short flashes: Red: battery very low, charging or charging failure, Orange; normal charging, Green: battery fully charged.

Before you flash this file to your board you should have version 1.05 installed. The version number is diplayed in the driver window. (DGT BoardTester - Settings... - Connect Tab)

Version 1.05 can only be flashed using Windows XP; an update from 1.05 to 1.06 will be possible in any Windows OS.

Please download the latest driver too.

Use this file with the Bluetooth firmware uploader if you experience wrong identification of pieces with a Bluetooth board.

It is also a good idea to flash this file to your board if your it seems to function OK

This version of the Bluetooth driver will solve the clock communication problem and is the last that you have update with Windows XP. The next update will be possible under Windows Vista (and 7) too.

If you have one of the first boards that were sold, you may encounter a problem uploading this file. Half way the procedure the Com port number will be changed, so the program cannot recognize the port anymore.  You should shut down the Uploader then and restart it again. You will find a new comport number followed by "USB" that you should use.

When you upgraded your firmware, and plug in the USB cable, windows will find new Hardware.

Unpack this zip file to a location you can remember, and browse to this location when when windows asks you to find the driver.

In the new setup manual this procedure is described in more detail.

Read this manual carefully before using the Bluetooth firmware uploader.

If you have to upload two files, then use the file wiht the name "BTUserPars.hex" first before uploading the main file.

This application can be used to upload the firmware of the Bluetooth Board.

WARNING: This is can only be used in combination with the Bluetooth Board!!
